Introducing, The Preppy Perspective! *Cheers, applause* “Thank you, thank you”. Kidding of course, but I have wanted to write for a long time and this is a subject I feel very close to, having been in the scene (but, under the radar) for well over a decade.
Now, speaking of rules, let’s go over some of the particulars that you’ll see here over time:
1. Why?
I’ve spent a long time understanding “preppy”, breaking pre-conceived notions of what I thought it was from when I was in high school, and really embracing the mindset behind it - and how much it really is just a muscle with how core it is to one’s being. There’s no shortage of topics either: style, companies, architecture, culture, music, the list goes on and on.
2. The Second Rule About Preppy Is…
We don’t talk about being “preppy”. Unfortunately that just can’t be the case when trying to wax poetic about it. So instead, I’ll embrace it here, and we’ll just agree that you, fantastic reader, is okay with that.
3. Part Of The Club
We crave community, we’re hosts by nature, and sharing our point of view with like-minded others is inherent to our being. Sure, we may typically reserve some discussion for close to the ear whispers of gossip – but that’s not what we’re here for. I want to hear from you, what’s working, what doesn’t, what do you want to learn about?
