False Fall
Coming to you live from my closet where shorts and pants intermingle in something akin to a clothing lasagna.
Here in Georgia, we’ve entered the first of at least 3 “False Falls”…
You step out to a crisp morning, and enjoy warm, but comfortable temperatures for 24-48 hours before summer slaps you in the face once more.

I love summer, in fact, I love every season. As is often the case, small talk involves the weather and folks claiming what their favorite season is. And truth be told reader, I’ve solidly determined that I love every season. This isn’t me trying to remain neutral, quite the contrary. I simply love every season for what it brings.
Summer brings adventure, pool days, barbecues, and late nights under popcorn lights. Spring brings colorful new beauty from the earth, light showers, the first peep of shorts. Winter brings nostalgia for holidays and memories with family, the warmth of a hearth potentially augmented by some hot cocoa, and we all go mad for plaid. And then there is Fall; with the changing of the leaves, brisk mornings, a soft flannel, and apple cider.
Alas false fall can be a real thorn in one’s side. A morning brisk enough to toss on a flannel, and by mid afternoon, you’re ready for shorts and camp mocs once again! In a much more fun sense though, it does afford the opportunity to play with my look a bit more, sweatshirt and shorts? This is their time to shine!
